◆ How to read the Signal Index

What it means

A composite score from 0–100 synthesizing momentum, volatility, volume, whale flows, and Fear & Greed. Above 60 = bullish regime. Below 40 = risk-off. The number alone is less important than its direction over 24–48h.

Why it matters

Most traders lose money by reacting to price alone. The Signal Index surfaces structural market conditions — is the broad market expanding or contracting? This context determines whether individual setups are likely to follow through.

How to use it

Rising index + strong coin = high-conviction long. Falling index + weak coin = avoid or short. Divergence (index rising, your coin not moving) = sector rotation signal. Check this before entering any position.

Timeframe selection

Use 1D for swing trade context, 1W for trend confirmation, 15m for entry timing. Never use 15m alone — always confirm on 1D first. A coin up 40% on 1D but negative on 1W = counter-trend bounce, not a breakout.

Volume column

The amber "spike" label means volume is significantly above the 7-day average. This is the key filter: any price move without a volume spike has lower conviction. Sort by Volume to find the coins with real institutional participation today.

Star assets to add to your Watchlist. Use the scanner daily to find new candidates, then monitor watchlisted assets for entry triggers: a pullback to support with contracting volume = ideal entry. Breakout + volume spike = momentum entry.

What we track

Live ETH blockchain transactions from 5 large Binance-affiliated wallets. These represent institutional or high-net-worth flows — the same capital that can move markets. Data updates in near real-time via Etherscan.

Key patterns

Consistent accumulation (many small buys) = stealth entry, bullish. Large single transfer to exchange = potential sell event incoming. Wallet-to-wallet (off-exchange) transfers = hodling behavior, bullish. Net flow direction over 48h is more reliable than any single transaction.

Edge for your trades

On-chain data is public but underread. Most retail traders only see price. When you see whale accumulation not yet reflected in price, you have a timing edge. Set up alerts for large transactions on your key positions.

◆ Fear & Greed — How to interpret

What it measures

Composite of volatility, market momentum, volume, social sentiment, dominance, and surveys. Ranges 0 (extreme fear) to 100 (extreme greed). Updated daily for crypto, near-real-time for equities.

Strategic relevance

Crypto and stock F&G often diverge — this is signal. When crypto is fearful but stocks are greedy, watch for a crypto catch-up rally. When both are greedy simultaneously, risk of broad correction increases sharply.

Trade application

F&G < 20: historically strong accumulation zone. F&G 20–40: neutral-cautious, selective longs. F&G > 75: reduce sizing, tighten stops. F&G > 90: consider partial profit-taking.

S&P 500 & Risk Assets

Crypto has a high correlation with equities in risk-off environments. When the S&P drops sharply, Bitcoin typically follows within 24–48h. A divergence (crypto up, stocks down) often signals crypto-specific catalysts worth investigating.

DXY & Gold

A rising Dollar (DXY) pressures all risk assets including crypto — it reflects tightening global liquidity. Gold rising with crypto signals genuine safe-haven buying. Gold up, crypto down = macro stress without crypto adoption flow.

BTC Dominance & Alt Cycles

BTC Dom rising = capital rotating into Bitcoin (risk-off within crypto). BTC Dom falling = altcoin season — broader risk appetite. ETH/BTC ratio is the leading alt-cycle indicator: above 0.065 historically precedes alt rallies.

Fed Funds Rate

The base cost of money in the US economy. High rates = expensive credit = less risk-taking. Crypto historically surges when markets price in rate cuts. Monitor Fed meeting dates — announcements cause outsized moves.

10-Year Treasury Yield

The global risk-free benchmark. Rising 10Y yield drains liquidity from speculative assets. When the 10Y spikes above 5%, expect crypto pressure. When it falls, risk assets including crypto typically rally — this is the liquidity cycle.

CPI Inflation

Drives Fed decisions. CPI above target (2%) means the Fed keeps rates high = headwind for crypto. CPI cooling = rate cuts ahead = tailwind. Each monthly CPI print is a potential catalyst — position accordingly before release.

◆ Total Value Locked (TVL) — What it signals

What TVL measures

The total USD value of assets deposited in a DeFi protocol — staking, lending, liquidity pools. TVL rising = capital entering the protocol = confidence in its security and yield. It's the primary health metric for DeFi projects.

TVL vs. Market Cap ratio

Divide a protocol's market cap by its TVL. Ratio below 1x often indicates undervaluation — the market cap is less than capital locked. Ratio above 3–5x suggests speculative premium. Use this for relative value trades between DeFi tokens.

Chain dominance shifts

Watch which chains gain TVL share. Ethereum losing share to Solana or Base signals ecosystem rotation — position in that chain's native tokens. Sudden TVL drops (>10% in 24h) on a protocol = potential exploit or rug — exit immediately.

Top Gainers

Assets with highest price change in the selected timeframe. Don't chase blindly — check if volume confirms the move (see Volume tab). Gainers with low volume = likely fakeout. Gainers with 3x+ average volume = breakout worth watching.

Volume Spikes

Volume is the most reliable leading indicator. A volume spike without a price move = accumulation in progress. Spike + price move up = momentum entry signal. Spike + price drop = distribution — avoid or consider short. Cross-check with whale flows.

Alerts

System-generated flags for statistically unusual events: extreme moves, whale transactions, or sector-wide shifts. Multiple alerts in the same sector simultaneously = high-conviction setup or systemic risk event. Act accordingly.
